Hi everyone! I’m here today with new-to-me author Trinity Blacio talking about her new fantasy series. Grab your coffee mugs and settle in!
Hi, Trinity and welcome to Coffee Time Romance! Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself?
I have been married for almost twenty years now. I met my husband in the same city that I was born in. My husband and our children were also born in Elyria. Matter of fact, my daughter was born in the same room I was born in. I have a daughter Cheyenne who will be 21 and son Rudy 16. Two cats. I’ve been writing for over 12 years now.
How cool is it that you and your daughter were born in the same room! I’d love more of that story, but that’s not why you’re here. Lol. Tell me about your Fantasy Alive Series?
The Fantay Alive Series was created when I first started writing. The first book was over 150,000 words to long for the first publisher, so I had to split the book up. It took me about a month to create the series and I love it. Fantasy, paranormal mixed with science fiction.
Wow, 150,000 words! That is a great start to a series. Your book, Laying Claim to the Soul, is part of your Fantasy Alive series, tell me more about the book?
Is the second book in the series. It will end Tabatha’s story line and start on Shannon’s story, even though Tabatha will continue on with Shannon. Shannon’s story will contain at least three books by itself.
What was your inspiration behind Laying Claim to the Soul?
Dreams. The premise of this series came from a dream I had. It was so strong and I’ve had it many times that I had to write it.
Dreams are great inspiration! Do you have a favorite scene from your book? Which one and why?
Oh my favorite scene had to be Tabath’s fight scene with her soon to Mother-in-law, the demon of waste. I laughed and was grossed out at the same time. Just thinking about it right now I’m sitting her smiling.
The demon of waste for a mother-in-law, well you’ve got my attention! I saw on your website that you are a fan of dark fantasy, erotic menage and erotic horror? What draws you to that genre?
My first book that I sat down and read from start to finish without stopping was, The Stand. I loved that book and still read it to this day. It’s what started me on my journey of dark fantasy in which I added the erotic to.
Do you have any other projects coming soon?
I have many projects coming up. I’m currently working on the book’s 5 and 6 for my Master of the Cat’s series, two Valentine stories and the first novel of a four book set which I plan to pitch at RT in Vegas.
Good luck with your pitch! For someone who hasn’t read your work before, why should they give Laying Claim to the Soul a try?
If they haven’t read my stories I highly recommend they start with Possession of The Soul first so they won’t be lost with Laying Caim to the Soul. If you like fantasy with a touch of science fiction you will love this series.
I see that you’ve created a place where writers, editors and publishers can come together. What made you set that up?
In the beginning, when I created the first book of the series, I had a very bad experience with other authors and I didn’t want that to happen with others. I always believe there is enough room for all of us. There is no need to turn on each other.
So very true! Last fun question, if money were no object what hobby would you pick up?
Fixing up old empty houses and renting them out cheap to people who need help. So many homes out there that are sitting there empty, while families are homeless, so sad.
What an awesome and worthy cause! Thank you for the wonderful interview, Trinity! You all can learn more about Trinity and her books by checking her out online.
