Stephen LaFevers is a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. He also is registered by the Hypnosis International Board of Registration and has certifications from the International Association of Counselors and Therapist, Hypnodynamics Learning, Hypnodyne Foundation and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has been studying hypnosis since the early nineteen-fifties and uses hypnotherapy in his practice.
This book breaks down the use of hypnosis into easily understandable terms. Mr. LaFevers covers not only what hypnosis is, but also what it is not and how it works. Hypnosis in Healthcare gives one the basic mechanics of how to hypnotize someone or yourself, and how to use it as a tool to improve one’s health and life.
I greatly appreciated this book. The author’s plainspoken writing style coupled with the simple techniques is amazingly easy to follow. The scripts provided are so vivid in description I had no trouble visualizing them in my head. Mr. LaFevers takes the mystery out of hypnotism and shows it to be an effective alternative and or supplement to more traditional methods of health care.
