So it’s raining like crazy here, and you know what? I don’t mind a bit! I can finally work on my reading pile that is totally out of control. I don’t know if this happens to you but I get in a I’m looking for a specific book mood and nothing else will do. So I am going to tell you what I just finished – This post is an “I’ll tell you mine, If you tell me yours” type of post.
Naked Dragon by Annette Blair
The Taking by Erin McCarthy
Wicked Enchantment by Anya Bast
Hunting Julian by Jacquelyn Frank
Let me start off by telling you I read and enjoy just about anything so I don’t mind a little hanky panky in the books. Which all 4 have by the way. Hands down the strangest book was Hunting Julian by Jacquelyn Frank- It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t finish it, It just took me a bit to get a visual of the story. Naked Dragon by Annette Blair was so funny and original- I laughed out loud more then a few times. The Taking was a good love story that took a few life times to achieve. Ahh then my favorite Wicked Enchantment- I swear Anya Bast could write feminine Hygiene product information and it would fly off the shelves! She has turned out to be one of my very favorite authors and this new series is starting off FABULOUS! (Yes I was a little worried because I loved the witch books).
So now that I have told you what I have just finished what are you all reading and enjoying? It looks like the weather is going to stay like this for a while so I am going to need to dig into my pile or go buy something new.

15 years agoOhhh… is Naked Dragon with dragon shifters?
I LOVE dragon shifters.
Unfortunately or fortunately,
I’m so swamped with writing
that I haven’t had much time for reading
(so many stories, so little time).
Hopefully I’ll grab some time this weekend.

15 years agoI am a reader and I love when it rains. I am a firm believer in using your library well. I am an eclectic reader. I read romance of every kind except horror. I love fantasy, humor, and plots of all kinds.
This week I read:
Hunting Julian by Jacquelyn Frank as well. I loved it, but it did take a few chapters to really get into it. It was a slow starter, but if you love sci-fi/fantasy, it is awesome.
Target by Judith Rochelle. A whole lot of sex, but a great thriller story as well.
A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh. Great Historical!
Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz a great Paranormal.
Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy. A M/M book without all the sex. This is the best book I’ve read in a long time. I love it. I think I will read it again!

15 years agoCurrently reading Oliver Rackham’s book on the history of woodland. Not very sexy, but fascinating. I alternate between fiction and non-fiction. There’s a Cheri Crystal freebie at http://www.loveyoudivine.com that I rather fancy the look of next.

15 years agoWhat am I reading? “Believe,” by Victoria Alexander; not really erotica but I find her style very enjoyable and she usually gets a few steamy scenes in each 300+ page effort. And no, I have not published anything in several years, though I do have something I am working on sporadically – the ending is written, and some middle scenes, but still needs more to tie it all together. In the meantime, life goes onn – though its not rainy season here yet…
Be well

15 years agoI’m reading Bone Magic by Yasmine Galenorn and so far so good. I’m also reading an YA book called Betrayed by P.C. & Kristin Cast. That one is good too, but I had to stop it at one point when life called and I ended up picking up Bone Magic because I totally love this series and I couldn’t wait to read it. I also have these books in my TBR pile:
Naked Dragon ~ Annette Blair
Wicked Enchantment ~ Anya Bast
The Taking ~ Erin McCarthy
A Tale of Two Demon Slayers ~ Angie Fox
The list could go on, but it would be a pretty long post. LOL!

15 years agoHmmm…what have I read lately. Oh boy I read so fast that even to list the last week would be about 10 or 15 books. So I will just list the last two days. I am currently reading Savage Revenge by Chastity Bush.
Here are the other books I have read since Tuesday:
Torment by Iona Blair.
Temptation Eve by Michelle Lauren.
Black Tie Affair by Sherrill Bodine.
Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl.
Countess of Scandal by Laurel McKee.
Eclipse of the Twin Moons by J.L. Oiler.
Paul’s D’Marco by Leiland Dale.
Petals from the Sky by Mingmei Yip.
The Secret of the Glass by Donna Russo Morin.
The Wild Marquis by Miranda Neville.
Like I said, I read super fast. I do have an anthology staring at me and calling my name. It is part of the Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series. I went to Borders and because they didn’t have it stocked I got free shipping. It came in on Saturday and it has been teasing me ever since lol.

15 years agoI have my nose in a text book on anything writing. How Dun it Forensics, A guide for Writers by D.P. Powell, A Writer’s guide to Character Traits by Linda N. Edelstien, PHd. Bullies, Bastards a Bitches How to write the bad guys of fiction by Jessica Page Morrell. These books are well worn and noted and underlined since I got them a few months back. I also have a fun TBR stack; Two Donna Grant books, two Hannal Howell books (got to love them), Cheyenne McCray-scorching; my TBR list is too long–but I am blessed! Plus I have some favorite authors here that I love and have new releases. I did just finish Gina Ardito’s Holy-matrimoney-great, funny, refreshing–should be made into a movie! Anyway, did not meet my word count goal today-back to work!

15 years agoI love rainy days, and we don’t get many in the desert, but this week – wow – it hasn’t stopped. I’m reading The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. I finished Broken Road by Sean Michaels, and reading all of Joseph Hansen’s Dave Brandstetter mystery series. I just downloaded this morning By Degrees by JB MacDonald.

15 years agoI have to say I agree about the weather dictating what you read. My daughter has got me hooked on Terry Pratchett at the moment. Brilliantly bizarre.
