Elsa is eighteen years old and can no longer look into her mother’s eyes and see the pain and disappointment her imperfections cause her mother. Her determination to make a change leads her to the one man she never thought to have a connection with.
Noah is tired of all the girls who crowd the gym to get a glance at him. His need for privacy leads him to the gym in another town unaware his whole world is about to change.
Two young adults who thought they knew what the future held are on a collision course with destiny. The insecurities of one, the patience of the other, and an entire group of “beautiful” people may be more than these two can fight.
Goodness what an experience. I was, at first, put off by the title and I still believe the title would be more apt if it was titled “P.H.A.T.” I could feel the pain of a boy who was forever labeled by most of the great girls in his school as unattainable. I understood the fears of the young girl whose mother has her convinced the only happiness is found in the body society considers perfect. The author superbly handles a sensitive topic which is found in school halls across the world and through her writing shows true love may be the answer to it all. I highly recommend the story of Noah and Elsa for all but especially those who fail to see the beauty in those society labels as imperfect. I hope this is only the first of many.
