Neil Matheson is a young man of forty who is physically disabled; he has cerebral palsy and, in his case, his legs do not work properly. He has also grown in his life to include being a husband and a father.
Neil often tackled and still tackles many issues with humor. He tries to look at the positive side of his disability. He has spent his entire life pushing himself to accomplish what many said he should or could not do.
Neil shares his memories from childhood through his teen and college years and even most recently in his life. He shares the hard times and many of the good times. He gives you a look into the mind of someone who has had many challenges in his life due to a physical handicap. He shows you that just because someone might have a disability does not mean there is anything wrong with them; they are human just like someone who is not disabled.
What a wonderful book to share with a friend. Mr. Matheson has had a rough but wonderful life, one I am sure he would not change for anything. I thank him for sharing his story and allowing others to see and feel what he felt growing up with Cerebral Palsy.
