Morgan Bentley is a bastard. Matthew knows this absolutely—until he doesn’t.
Matthew and his friend Cory are thrilled to attend one of the most prestigious universities in the UK. On their pre-entry visit, they met Morgan Bentley and his stuck-up friends. Matthew takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, conceited, self-obsessed, beautiful, intelligent, and charismatic boy. Throughout the next year, Matthew harbours his dislike, never missing the opportunity to complain to his best friend, Cory, what a bastard Morgan is.
Then, an unexpected turn of events catapults Matthew, Morgan, and Cory into a nightmare, and all the things Cory had said about Matthew’s true feelings about Morgan come crashing down on his head, and he realises that what he thought was hatred and anger was, in fact, growing attraction and begrudging admiration. But when the deadly nature of the elusive Project X is revealed, it seems their budding romance is doomed before it begins, as one of them is unlikely to survive.
ABOUT AUTHOR Cheryl Headford
I started writing when I was fourteen, but my first adventure with publishing came almost a decade ago with the publishing of the first incarnation of Enigma, which remains my favourite of all my books. Over the years since, I’ve had publishers come and go but my love for writing has remained and, I hope, will always remain. Much of my writing is experimental, looking at problems, issues, experiences through the eyes of diverse characters, most of whom have obstacles, mental and physical to overcome. I write multi genres from fantasy to sci fi and most of them fit into the New Adult Contemporary category. I hesitate to say romance because although most have elements of romance that is generally a sideline to the story.
My most recent release is contemporary with a smattering of sci fi. It follows three law students as they stumble though life until the fateful Project X raises its ugly head and almost destroys them.
My current project is a three/four book fantasy series which, although set in Faerie is firmly anchored in a contemporary experience by the main character, a feisty sixteen-year-old who spent his life so far with human adoptive parents, having no clue about his fae heritage
Having retired from law to care for my autistic son, then being formally diagnosed autistic as well, much of my close examination of mental health issues makes more sense and takes on a new dimenstion. I am resolved to write an autistic character once I’ve finished with my faery prince. I have plenty of time to explore my writing, my worlds and my characters as writing is now my primary occupation.
If you want to know anything else about me please just come on up and ask, I would love to talk to you.
