I do take inspiration from things that have happened in my life, or snatches of conversation I overhear, and I have occasionally sneaked an in-joke only people who know me would understand into my stories, but I don’t worry anyone will think my work is autobiographical. Unless they really believe I can shift into a lion, or am a billionaire business owner, or lived in a castle in the 14th century…
