Bull by Tory Richards
Humor danced in her eyes. “Okay, we may have ah, done it once or twice.” She cleared her throat. “Maybe, um, three times.”
Her words conjured up f*cking images I didn’t want. Just the thought of the prick’s hands on her brought my blood pressure to a f*cking boil, and I couldn’t understand why. I hadn’t known that Viola existed until the night before. She had every right to f*ck anyone that she liked. But the thought of Nick putting his hands on her in anger was what got my blood hot and made me want to wrap my hands around his throat.
“How did you break it off with him?”
“I just told him that I didn’t want to see him anymore, that I liked him and everything, but that I didn’t feel anything that would make me want to go any further in our friendship. There wasn’t any spark.”
I smirked. “I can just imagine that went over well. Every man interested in pussy wants to hear he doesn’t turn the woman on.”
Viola snorted. “That’s what you got out of what I said?”
I stared at her in confirmation. “I guarantee that’s what he heard, too.”
She inhaled and exhaled loudly. “I believe in being honest,” she said. “But I don’t hurt people on purpose. I didn’t lead him on, Bull. I would never do that.”
I believed her. I watched my brothers for a minute as the silence stretched between us. Frenchie and Lissa were practically f*cking in the deep end, their lips and bodies locked tight as they moved against each other wildly. Loco had Millie crowded up against the side of the pool, but he wasn’t touching her. She was a pretty woman, but she seemed too innocent for him. They were just talking, but I got the feeling that he would have liked to get his hands on her. Loco was a real man-whore, and I couldn’t see him ever settling down.
“Are you going swimming?”
I shook my head. “Didn’t come here for swimming. Just stopped in to say hi.
