The same journey happens in a Romance novel and it’s fraught with even more peril. As the reader turns the pages, for a very brief time, he or she gets to feel all the wonderful emotions a man or woman feels when they fall in love.

14 years agoDon't know that every story has to be fraught with perils–at least the physical kind–but I love the emotional journey the leading lady and man go through to find peace and support in each other. That's what it's all about in the long run, right?

14 years agoJoanna–that's a very astute comment. I guess you could say there are different sorts of perils we face in our romantic journey toward a happy ending–in real life as well as fiction. Does anyone have his own ideas about what readers love about romance?
