Today I want to share 13 fictional characters I find to be amazing and why.
- Jack Sparrow– PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. Really? Do I really need to say more? I  just can’t figure him out. Is he good? Bad? Where are his loyalties? I love that he keeps me guessing.
- Samwise Gamgee – LORD OF THE RINGS. I just love the underdog, the shadow characters who never take credit for what they do. Samwise was the true hero in LOTR.
- Artemis Entreri – THE SELLSWORD SERIES by RA Salvatore. Artemis, Artemis, Artemis…he is one bad ass with issues. We meet him as the antagonist in one of Salvatore’s other series. As cold hearted, he slowly peels away many layers of who he is and why he’s become the person he is.
- Severus Snape– HARRY POTTER. Why Serverus? I always had my suspicions that he wasn’t as bad as everyone thought. He suffered alone and quietly and evidently was sacrificed for the better good on both fronts. I’d love to read a prequel to his story.
- Dexter Morgan – DEXTER – He is one creepy, psychopath that doesn’t seem to have a soul. I get shivers just thinking about him.
- Tony Stark – IRON MAN- He is just so…brutally honest. I like that he doesn’t really care what people think about him. He just is.
- Zuko – THE LAST AIRBENDER(Cartoon). Yes, I watch cartoons still. Zuko is tortured by his father and haunted by his mother’s memory. He goes on a journey to catch the avatar even though he feels it’s wrong. His story arc is very traumatic. I do love tortured souls.
- Allison Sekemoto – THE BLOOD EDEN SERIES- Ali dies saving a friend and is turned into a vampire. She is one tough vampire with a Katana. I’ll stop there.
- Acheron -Â ACHERON – Holy smokes, if you haven’t read Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon you should. There’s all sorts of problems with Ash, and although I’d rather see him remain single forever and ever…
- I’m going to give a shout-out to Felicity Smoak from ARROW-Television series. She has no filter and says whatever pops into her mind. I just love it.
- Black Widow – AVENGERS- Though I don’t know much about the Black Widow, she’s just…bad.
- Well, I have to give notice to Bowen de la Rue who is the MC of my adult debut, BLOODROSE. In trying to find his father he finds love which tears at everything he believes in. And rounding the 13…
- Is Cassian de la Rue, his brother, who also feels the ramifications of having once loved and lost. You probably shouldn’t put these two in a room together.
Wow, it looks like I just love dark, emotionally scarred characters who are just…bad ass. Or sometimes just bad.
Who are some of your favorite fictional characters?
Isabeau’s life is haunted by nightmares her brother insists are a lie. Bowen’s looking to revenge himself against his father while helping his friend. When they meet, all hell breaks loose against Isabeau. Can Bowen protect her? Is love ever the safe choice?
Newly convinced by a mentor to value human life, Bowen, a Shade Hunter, has withdrawn from aristocratic society in pursuit of the creature that made him into the evil that consumes him—his father. Bowen’s plans are thwarted when he assists a wealthy earl in finding his missing fiancé. He’s drawn to the man’s beautiful sister, Isabeau. Bowen soon realizes that their fates are intertwined and she’s aroused a passion in him he’d never thought possible.
Isabeau Harington has always lived in fear. Surviving an attack that killed her parents, she always believed the monsters would return for her. When she meets Bowen, a mysterious, charismatic stranger who drives away those fears, she learns that the very man she’s falling in love with may be in league with the monsters hunting her. As a pawn in an Immortal’s scheme, Isabeau must make the ultimate decision—love or safety?
