What is an Alpha? Does he look a certain way? Act a certain way? Or is Alpha a state of mind? I asked a group of authors and readers what traits they love most about their favorite alpha males. The following list is the result of that exercise. If you don’t see your favorite trait on this list take a moment to share it with us in a comment. Inquiring minds want to know!

11. Laurie Fenton-Smith: Alphas are MEN! They love hard…loyally. They’re fierce protectors of those they love but aren’t the ones to cross if you hurt someone near and dear. Lexi is a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much! And Lutan is such an incredible male! He’s brooding, quiet, fearsome and not very fond of Earth. And he’s also honorable, kind and fiercely protective. But the Zyanthan warrior also carries so much guilt and pain inside his heart. Nevertheless, Lutan is amazing and I adored everything about him! I absolutely loved everything that happened between Lexi and Lutan!
