Thirteen Reasons to Celebrate in September

HI! My name is Desi (D.B.) Moon, and I am here to (hopefully) entertain you. Last month, Noble Romance released my debut novel, SUMMERLAND. It is a contemporary “sweet” romance set among the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. The main character, Rhiann Taylor, was a paparazzi magnet but tragedy drove her into a self- imposed exile. After two years of mourning, she emerged with a new sense of anonymity that she craved, but the tabloids had other ideas. They continued to stalk and speculate on her private life, as she tried to move on with a new career, and as much as she tried to resist””a new love.

A lot of partying went on in the story of SUMMERLAND, and I did my fair share of celebrating when I found someone (outside of family and friends) who actually liked my writing, I thought it would be fitting to find some other reasons to celebrate the month of September.

So put on your little black dress (Or whatever you wear to swanky parties) and get ready to have a ball!

September 10^th Swap Ideas Day- I might be two days early on this one, but if someone has something they want to share, let us swap ideas!

September 11^th No News is Good News Day- I think any day with no news is good, now I have a reason to celebrate it 

September 13^th Defy Superstition Day- Find me a black cat, crossing under a ladder holding a mirror, I’m there!

September 14^th National Cream Filled Donut Day Need I say more?

September 15^th Make a Hat Day- Because everyone deserves a fun homemade hat

September 16^th National Play Doh Day- Hone your sculpting skills 

September 17^th National Apple Dumpling Day- I have never had an apple dumpling, but they must be good enough to warrant a whole day’s devotion.

September 19^th International Talk Like a Pirate Day- Hubs practices all year for this one day.

September 22^nd Elephant Appreciation Day- I’m sure there are ways to celebrate, anyone have any ideas?

September 25^th National Comic Book Day- Personally not fan of comic books, but for the aficionados out there, Live it up!

September 27^th Crush a Can Day- Let out your repression on some cans, you’ll feel better

September 28^th Ask a Stupid Question Day I try to do this once a week anyway, just to see the look on people’s faces (I am a self proclaimed chaos instigator after all), now I have an excuse to do it all day long.

September 30^th National Mud Pack Day *Whew* with all the celebrating we did this month, we deserve a spa day!!!!!
