This is the story of two people who are thrown together during tragedy and discover a kindred spirit that saves them in spite of it all. At times, the action is intense and graphic, but Ms. Sussman handles the bombing and subsequent carnage with sensitivity and care. The format is fresh and engaging, and the characters are absolutely flawed and more loveable for it.
