The Ocean Beckons….

Several years ago my family and I vacationed in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina on the Outer Banks. I fell in love with the area. Over the years we’ve vacationed there and stayed from KDH down to Buxton and various places in between. Even though we’ve not stayed there, we’ve spent time in Corolla and Duck to the north and Ocracoke Island to the south. It was on Ocracoke Island that I became fascinated with the pirate folklore of the area. Blackbeard, they say, lived and played and wreaked havoc on the islands in his hey day. Of course, he wreaked havoc over much of the east coast and into the Carribean.

This fascination with the ocean and the pirates led to a number of characters and storylines zinging through my brain. The ideas for the books that came out of those ideas manifested themselves over time until they spun out of control in my head and spilled onto the pages of my computer. Thus, the series that comes out this November from Resplendence Publishing is titled The Legend of Blackbeard’s Chalice. THE CURSE is the first book in the series. Spirits across time search for each other in this time travel complete with history, suspense, sex and hint of paranormal. THE CURSE is book one, the story of Jack Porter, 18th century alpa male and Claire Winslow, 21st century professional woman. THE CULT (book two), THE QUEST, (book three) and THE CONFIRMATION (book four) are the stories of each of Jack and Claire’s offsrping. Book five, THE CHOSEN (working title) brings the legend full circle.
