Izzy Lane’s world seems to be falling apart even though she has good friends, a great job that she loves as a school counselor, and prides herself on being a great mother. However, after a divorce, she finds herself having to change her life.

Izzy is trying to find more besides what she has and wants to spice up her life. She lands an oppourtunity to write a blog and it takes off gaining a lot of attention. However, there is one small problem; she made up an online boyfriend and this lie has seemed to take on a life of its own.

When things start to spin out of control, Izzy now must find a way to tame the mess she has created. With the help of a motherly friend and neighbor who knows the truth, Izzy tackles this large issue and a few smaller ones that pop up in her seemingly normal life.

I found The Good Neighbor and Izzy to be fun and quirky. At times I shook my head at what she was going through, at other times I chuckled and still others found myself shedding a few tears along with her. This author has done a great job of connecting the reader with the characters and making them so life like it was easy to relate and feel as if you are part of the story. Kudos on a job well done!
