The False Light by Diane Scott Lewis

As a small child Diane has written stories, even published poems and short-stories in the school magazines. At nineteen she joined the Navy and while in Greece met her future husband. Now married and raising two boys, she and her family live in Virginia where she actively keeps busy working on her stories. She also is a historical editor for The Wild Rose Press and reviews books. When I read a book by Diane Scott Lewis, history definitely does come alive through her words. Be sure to check her website and look at her little doggie, Fritzie, absolutely adorable. And her new granddaughter, Jorja, a precious adorable bundle, cute as can be. Woohoo, she loves music by Journey, yes.

The False Light is an eye-opening story. Bettina is absolutely lifelike in every way. From the moment her journey begins and everything backfires, her expressions and emotions are genuine and dramatic at every turn. She has much compassion as she worries over her mother, even the King and Queen, not to mention the link with the dress. Her performance is a class act. I have no idea how I would act in that situation. Diane Scott Lewis pens a vibrant story that strikes the chords of the heart and makes the reader feel all the events that grab the characters.
