It’s here! My favorite holiday is right around the corner squeeeeeee! Halloween always gives me the confirmation that fall is here!!!! I love seeing all the little ones all decked out in their spooky best. Watching all of the older kids getting spooked by the haunted houses is always fun. Here are a few of my favorite recipes
Here are a few yummies you can make for your spooky night-
Classic favorites Carmel Apples
40 Caramel cubes (I prefer the Borden Brand)
5 Apples (I like Macintosh apples)
1 tablespoon of water
5 Wooden sticks
1 Wax paper
Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Remove stems and Insert the wooden sticks into the stem hole until about half the stick is in the apple. In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt the caramels with the water, stirring constantly until smooth. Now dip the apples into the hot caramel sauce, coating the apple completely. Place on greased, wax paper. Store your caramel covered apples in the refrigerator. Before serving, remove them from the refrigerator and allow them to stand for about fifteen minutes. We like to serve our caramel covered apples on a large black platter and use extra caramels as a garnish.
I vant to drink your blue blood (for adults)
- 1 fluid ounce vodka
- 1/4 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/8-1/4 fluid ounce fresh lime juice
- 8 -12 fluid ounces carbonated lemon-lime beverage (I used Hansen’s brand)
- lime slice
- ice cube
- 1 Mash the blackberries with a fork and drain the seeds.
- 2 Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Add the vodka, blackberry puree and lime juice.
- 3 Top with soda. Stir. Garnish beverage with a lime slice.
Grab your blue blood and curl up on the couch with a great book, preferably one with a sinfully handsome Vampire.
Spooky Dreams everyone!
