S. K. Yule
S. K. Yule on Facebook
Good morning all. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sarah Yule. I write under the name S. K. Yule, and go by Sarah or Sky. I live in a tiny town in Central Illinois of about 150 people. No, that isn’t a typo. I seriously meant one hundred and fifty people.
I live on a small farm with my husband and dogs (which I consider my kids). My mother, niece, nephew-in-law, and great nephew all live within a few blocks of me, and the nearest store is twelve miles away. Enough of where I live now let’s get on to the good stuff.
I began writing in 2007. I’ve always loved anything that has to do with paranormal, ghosts, monsters, and any other thing that goes bump in the night. I started reading paranormal books approximately seven years ago and fell instantly in love with the genre.
Most people ask me if I’ve always been or have always wanted to be a writer. My answer to that is no. My very first job was as a secretary. From there I moved up to legal secretary. Since then I’ve been a word processor, a marketing administrative assistant, a truck drive (yes, of the tractor/trailer variety), and a horse breeder. But, it seems that no one told me when you play hard, sometimes you wear your body out sooner than normal.
Now, to understand what I’m getting at, you must realize that when I was doing all of that rough stuff, like driving a truck, breeding horses, breaking horses, and bucking hay, I was 5′ 1″ tall and approximately 110 pounds (still the same height, but will probably never seen 110 again in my life time). I also had the mentality that whatever a man could do, I could do. Yes, in case you haven’t figured it out, I am what one would call stubborn. Or if you ask my mother, bull headed or mulish.
Anyways, after putting my body through the mill so to speak for over ten years, that and the repercussions of being hit by a drunk driver when I was seventeen caught me, and b*tch slapped me (sorry, but that’s really the best way I can describe it). Oh, did I mention I used to run my own craft and antique store–yes, I’m a Jill of all trades it seems.
Moving on, once my doctor told me in 2004 that my neck and back were shot, I knew I had to find a way to make somewhat of a living doing a job that would cater to my back fits that sometimes puts me in bed for a day to two weeks at a time without warning. Since I really don’t know any boss that is that lenient, I decided to try my hand at writing.
Haven’t looked back since, and I hope to write for the rest of my life.
I will be discussing my books with you throughout the day, and I encourage you to ask me anything about me, my books, or life in general.

14 years ago🙂 I just thought I would stop in, and see what’s going on. It’s cool what you can learn about people. I love fiction that has any supernatural or paranormal elements in it. I’m not really that into the erotic parts, but almost all fiction seems to have some to varying degrees. My favorite stories involve the regular guy or gal against a powerful evil enemy, and conquering in the end. As far as relationships in stories, I like when the couples overcome years of tragedy and heartbreak, and finally find their “one” in each other. It doesn’t matter to me if the man or woman is dominant or submissive as long as the roles are reversible, and they can read each other well enough to allow it. That’s my take. It’s never happened for me in real life, but if I can read about it, then there is always hope. Thanks for allowing me an opinion. 🙂

14 years ago AUTHORThank you so much for stopping by. I love to hear a man’s point of view. I don’t get the opportunity to hear from a lot of males on the subject. I appreciate it. I agree. I like when the couple (or at least one half of the couple) must overcome something profound, especially when the only reason they care to overcome it is because they’ve found their other half.
I can’t seem to get enough of supernatural/paranormal myself. It intrigues me, and will probably always intrigue me as it is, and will remain, the unknown.
Let me tell you, I believe that there is someone for everyone, and you usually find your other half when you least expect it. Trust me, that’s exactly how it happened for me. That is also one of the reasons that I loooove to write romance. The fact that I can give others a glimpse at what love can be, and what one can overcome for love, makes me happy.
