Kate Pacinelli is a flight attendant and a lesbian. She has a crush on fellow flight attendant Stephanie Carlson, but has no idea if she is attracted to women. Couple that with being concerned about starting a relationship with a co-worker and what would happen if things went bad, and she has not done anything more than admire Stephanie from afar.
Stephanie Carlson is a former cheerleader who has had both male and female sexual partners. She considers herself sort of a heterosexual woman who likes to play sexually with other women. She has never really had a serious relationship with either a man or a woman. She finds Kate attractive, but does not want to lose her job for doing anything about it and being wrong, since she is a relatively new hire.
When their plane hits some turbulence, Stephanie gets her first taste of what can happen during turbulence and it shakes her up. Fortunately for her, Kate is there to hold her hand and get her through it. When their airline grounds everyone so the incident can be investigated, Kate is encouraged to see what she can find out about Stephanie’s preferences. To her delight, she and Stephanie spend the night together and Kate finds out that Stephanie knows her way around a woman’s body. Unfortunately, in the light of day, Stephanie does not seem to want anything more than a one night stand, and some fun. Can Kate convince Stephanie that they could have something special together?
I really enjoyed Rough Landing by Cheryl Dragon. This is a well written, delightfully erotic love story where the two partners just happen to be women. The sexual tension between the two women builds slowly enough that the reader gets a chance to see how they are together at work and sexually which adds spice to the story. The fact that the story has a happy ending is just icing on the cake as far as this reviewer is concerned. If you love love stories of all kinds then you do not want to miss Rough Landing by Cheryl Dragon, it is a keeper.
