Good morning, CTR! It’s lovely to be here, and I have to say, I’m very excited to be part of the Rebel Ink in-crowd.
I know, I know…everyone’s looking at me and wondering “who is she”, so I’ll tell you.
My name is Siobhan Kinkade, and I write all sorts of stuff. In the Romance realm, you’ll find anything from sweet, contemporary stories to hard-core paranormal erotica. My alter ego, known on most days as S.H. Roddey, tends to write twisted horror, some of it trickling into the steam- and splatterpunk realms. But we won’t talk about that right now, because while there is a fine line between sex and death, we want to stick to the happier things today.
A little about me – I’ve been writing since I could hold a pencil, and making up stories since I could talk. My dad used to tell people that I would either grow up to be a writer or a serial killer because of my wild imagination… and sometimes I really hate to admit that the old man was right.
About the writing part, not the serial killing.
Anywho, my first story, Marked, was released in May of this year through Sugar & Spice press. I realized that I was almost half-way through the year, and staring 30 in the face… it seemed like a good time to jump in with both feet and hope that I could swim.
A month later, I decided to self-publish one of my horror stories through both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Then I attended FandomFest in Louisville back in July. Since then, I’ve picked up three more contracts (one with RIP and two with SSP), and haven’t looked back. It feels SO GOOD to be writing, and to know that there are at least a few people in this world that enjoy my imagination as much as I do.
I came into the Rebel Ink family about a month ago, and let me tell you all…if anyone is looking for a place to publish with a huge support network, RIP is the place to do it. The story E picked up isn’t due out until early 2012, but it already feels like home. I don’t say a lot when everyone gets to chattering, but I’ve already learned so much from them… I love it. Absolutely love it.
So, that’s me. I’ll be back a bit later with some new information, and maybe a tidbit or two.
In the meantime, if anyone wants more information about me, come find me in one of these places:
