I was thrilled to do a reading from TYLER on Monday night at Lady Jane’s Salon at Madame X’s on Houston Street in NYC.
My good friend and fellow author, Tara Nina, and I rode in on the train. When we arrived, she suggested going into the Border’s at Penn Station to see if my book was there. OK, it sounds a little strange, but when you write for the library market, your books are marketed to libraries across the US–which is amazing–but not quite the same as being in mass market where your books go into book stores. Soooo, we did the touristy thing, and she snapped a pic of me beneath my book. I’ll have to post it up on my blog or facebook…it’s too big for here.
It was so much fun being back on the stage at LJS. The founders: Leanne Renee Hieber, Hope Tarr, Ron Hogan, and Maya Rodale have a fabulous venue on the first Monday of every month. Here’s the link to their website to check out who has been there recently:

It was a blast reading up on their stage again. If you’ve never been to Madame X’s on Houston Street in NYC, you’ve got to add it to your thing’s to do and places to go list. 😉 It’s such a fun venue and everyone there hangs on every word you read. I had the best time! I love to bake and in honor of my Irish hero, brought home made Cream Scones, whipped cream and raspberry jam, and Irish Soda Bread to share with everyone.
