I know, it’s unavoidable sometimes. I am standing in line at the store, trying to get my Christmas shopping done – oh, and a big KUDOS to Walmart for putting Christmas back into the season… instead of the happy holidays they were doing last year! I am very pleased to have the clerks say to me “Merry Christmas” because I love hearing it!
Okay, back to the tabloids. I must say that this world is a pretty sad place when we don’t have anything else to talk about except Britney Spears going around without panties….and I have to say EWWWWWWW to this because God knows where she’s sitting and then you’re going to sit there too, and YUCK. And to think of what she is going to catch! My goodness, just after breaking up with her husband and this girl is out slutting her way through the city instead of being a mother. This is what is raising the next generation!
Of course, I just gave the tabloids their ammunition for why they write this crap. Because people will talk about it. But where are the good stories? I mean, who cares how many children Brad and Angelina have before they break up and leave them broken homes? Who cares if actresses are too fat or too thin? I’m too fat, but you don’t see me announcing it on the cover of a tabloid! These people put themselves out there in the public eye, so I have no sympathy for them. I do, however, feel for people like Mel Gibson and Robin Williams. These are people who managed to stay OUT of the public eye for years (bad press I mean) and yet when they fall off the wagon, they’re plastered over the TV and magazines. Anyone who judges them better remember there are four fingers pointing back at you. How would you like to have someone watch you as you fail? They didn’t kill anyone, they didn’t rape anyone, and they didn’t molest a child. Yet they’re being raked over the coals worse than people who DO do those awful things. It’s a sad world.
Remember that Christmas is a week away – remember that you should smile at your neighbor and do something nice to someone you know. Or for someone you know. I’ll be back in the New Year with more to steam about.
Have a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

18 years agoBonnie,
I agree. I have great respect for both Robin and Mel, yet one slip and they’re down. I try not to look at the tabloids, they just frustrate me because most of it is just trash. I wish they put something I would enjoy reading by the check out stands. Oh wait they do, it’s just that my eye is always drawn to the tabloids. Why is that?
You have a wonderful and safe holiday and see you in the New Year.

18 years agoI agree totally on what you said in fact I GAVE UP reading the tabloid when Princess Di was killed… the slander and hype did me in when it was said to help that everyone boycott all tabloids because of what they did to her I have never bought a tabloid since and I would get a National Enquirer and bring it back home to mom every week. That I hope says something of course it is also all over the tv and internet so I see it everyday but I do not buy it or intentionally go look for one. So kudos Bonnie of course that is just my opinion. Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

18 years agoI agree about the undie sitch. Come on girlie, if you’re gonna wear those short skirts, don’t be lettin’ it grin at the ground. She’s just doin it because she’s so starved for media attention she KNOWS if she flashes the goods, someone with the camera will see and WHAM! she’s guaranteed the cover on a gossip rag somewhere. However, ew.. she’s gotta sit down in some really icky places, sans undies. Bleuurg!! As for the kiddies, I’m pretty sure whomever she pays to stay home with them is better equipped to care for them than she is.
As for Robin and Mel, I’m not going to say they’re not to blame for their problems.. because they are. Mel needs to learn to keep his mouth shut so he won’t drink and/or keep his opinions to himself. I don’t need to hear his views on religion, race, etc. As for Robin, he needs a razor and some Ritalin in that order.
My question is, do either of these men wear undies? We don’t know the answer because they don’t go around in skirts flashin the goodies. Ok, Mel did do the kilt thing in Braveheart, we saw his bootay and mighty fine it was *sigh*
Thank goodness Robin didn’t or if he did, we all thought we were seeing his fuzzy sweater pants. *snickers*
