I know the term “Native American” has been used a lot in recent times. However, I do know quite a few people from several different tribes and most of them have told me they would just as soon be referred to as “Indians” if you do not use their real tribal identity. So I am sticking to that, PC be danged! I heard this came out at the Tucson Book Festival in Arizona recently as well and a number of authors who use Indian characters in their books agreed with this so that is good enough for me. IF anyone finds “Indian” offensive, I apologize but feel it is impossible to please everyone all the time.

So for today it is “Indians” with our cowboys, okay?
