Ally Mills has lead anything but a normal life. She has never met her father and her mother is always off traveling with her job. Ally has decided that her younger half-sister deserves more than that. She has vowed to make her life as normal as possible, starting with tracking down her sister’s father.

Zach is the man Ally confronts believing he is her sister’s father. Taken aback by this information at first, he informs Ally that he is not the father but his father is. He is just a half-brother. After hearing about Kayly though, he cannot stay away. He wants to be a part of Kayly’s life and help make her life normal.

Things become very crazy for Ally. While her mother is away she receives death threats and someone trashes their apartment. She also finds out more about her father and certain connections he has to others. With all this craziness going on, Zach and Ally have begun to feel a certain spark between them.

So cool this read was. Although geared toward young readers, it is entertaining for the “older” readers as well. I totally loved it. I had a hard time putting it down. Suspenseful and yet sweet at the same time, Operation: Normal has a bit of everything a reader likes in a good book. I am going to check out other books by Ms. Palmer and I suggest you do the same.
