I hope you enjoy romances about hot, hunky heroes with heart, because that’s what I write! I never pass up a chance to write emotional stories about cowboys, babies, small towns and big hearts.
My love of writing has always been inspired by a true hero in my life, my father. A wonderful poet and storyteller, he would often entertain the family at dinner with tales from his own past, stories he’d read, stories that inspired him. His talent was boundless, his flair and humor brought giggles to two young girls on Saturday mornings with interactive tales that put my sister and I right into the action.
My newly expanded family is a huge part of my life. Our two adult children have given us four blessings in less than four years. All girls, our “princesses” bring joy and laughter and craziness in our lives. At any given moment you might find me hiding behind the sofa playing hide and go seek, reading bedtime stories or watching Paw Patrol and Sofia the First with the little ones.
My book count comes in at over 45 novels, both contemporary romances and stories set in the Old West. I’ve been honored with the National Readers’ Choice Award and The Cataromance Reviewer’s Choice Award. I’m also a double recipient of the Booksellers Best Award and have won Romantic Times Magazine’s Best Harlequin Desire Award of 2014 among other great honors. I hang my hat at Romance Writers of America and belong to an amazing group of talented supportive writers at LARA, the Los Angeles Chapter of RWA.
I married my high school sweetheart which above all else, qualifies me to write emotion-packed love stories!
Can marriage in name only really work for two hearts who once had true love? Does true love really die, or does it wait for people to grow up? Come to Hope Wells, Texas and find out. I love this book and the whole town of Hope Wells. Every character has a place and every place has character. I found the character development superb and the writing brought the town to life in vivid colors. I highly recommend the writing of Ms. Sands, and especially Loving the Texas Lawman.
