I love the fall, well almost as much as I love winter. Yeah, I know I’m a little different, my doctor once joked that I had the whole seasonal affective disorder all backward as the heat of summer starts to make me cranky*giggles* But, for a paranormal author like me, give me a gray day, and I will cozy up, big sweater and hot tea, and write away! Besides, for me, what’s not to like about Samhain and Halloween and all the other things that come along with the weather turning colder and days getting shorter, it these things inspire me? Some of the TV shows, specials, movies, books, etc start to get that otherworldly or horror feel to them, similar to the books I read and write pretty much all year long.
I am very excited about this October coming in just a few weeks. My first release with Rebel Ink Press comes out on October 17th titled, Working Out The Kinks. While it isn’t “Halloween’ themed, per say, it is very pagan, deals with spells, and it’s sometimes dark and all, right along with being an erotic romance. It deals with spells, rituals, to help a man get back the witch he loves. And, some unusual means are incorporated into the sex magick they use ““ I had a lot of fun writing this short story.
Here’s some information about it:
Working Out The Kinks Blurb:
Making an appointment with his ex-girlfriend under a fake name, David buys himself one hour to get her attention. Hoping to apologize and remind her of their time together, he intends to do whatever he has to in order to make Meredith, a practicing Wiccan, forgive him for being idiot enough to have listened to those around him and choosing his political aspirations over love.
Meredith is resistant to let David anywhere near her heart again. Desperate, David plays all his trump cards and suggests a sexual magick ritual which incorporates the BDSM lifestyle he and Meredith used to experiment with. The methods he uses may be unconventional, like sensory deprivation and sensation play intended to build trust and to achieve altered states of consciousness. But David is more than willing to do whatever it takes if he can just get Meredith to agree.
Genres: Pagan, Contemorary, Erotic Romance
Adult Content Warnings: Explicit Graphic Language and Sex Magic with mild BDSM Elements

And I'm with everyone here… summers are just too hot, especially down South where I am. I much prefer the cooler and colder months, because it means hot chocolate, morining walks, and the possibility of snow. 🙂
