Living with Diabetes

Diabetes is an every day word because if we are not diagnosed with it, more than likely a relative or friend has to deal with trying to manage with it daily. Prevention is another good source for learning about diabetes, the management, along with diet and exercise to help maintain the right AIC level, along with the right food to eat. The Diabetes DTour Diet is a good book with great information. Barbara Quinn and the editors of Prevention got together with Medical Advisor Francine R. Kaufman, MD and compiled some great informative facts with meals, management and motivation in mind. They have a wonderful cookbook out, as well, Prevention, The Diabetes DTour Diet Cookbook. I found both books well written and quite educational. It does come in handy when you know of a diabetic struggling with trying to learn to accept a new lifestyle. http://www.diabetesdtourdiet.com/uof/diabetesdtourdiet/ and  http://dtourcookbook.com/uof/dtourcookbook/
