Hey everyone!
I wanted to throw a little out there about myself and why I’m drawn to the story of military men and the women who love them. If you read my interview, you saw that my husband and I dated when he was in the Navy. I actually knew him before he went in the Navy, but when he came home on leave after being re-homeported to a base close to our hometown. There was just something different about him than when he left. He seemed to have realized how to be a man, he gave off an air of more confidence and like I could trust him to take care of me. I was gone…and we were engaged less than a month later!
Over the years, my husband has told me all the stories about being a single guy in the Navy traveling the world. It is from these stories, and my own experience of sitting by the phone waiting for those precious phone calls that I built Charlie and Gideon’s relationship and some of the antics that Gideon’s team get up to while deployed.
I definitely believe in “love at first sight” (or in my case “love at first post enlistment sight”) and want that to come across to the reader when they read about this couple.
Just wanted to remind you all about the giveaway that I’m doing for two lucky people who leave a comment or ask a question today. I will be giving each of those people a signed copy of the book (remember it is being released on January 25 – so you will have to be a little patient). Along with the book, I will also be sending Indivisible dogtags and a bookmark.
If I get enough comments, I will do a few extra giveaways of the dogtags and bookmarks…
Don’t forget to check out my blog, Life Happened, for more about Charlie and Gideon.
