Good morning everyone! This is my first time at Coffee Time Romance. I’m here with my mocha at my kitchen table, the kids are still sawing logs upstairs. Finally, a few drops of rain are falling from the sky. (I wish east-coasters would get a reprieve from their storms) I’ve been in California all of my life, and the almond blossoms are beyond-words beautiful right now. So now that I’ve given you a full weather report, let’s get down to book bizz!
I’m super excited to take part in this Sunday morning coffee chat with Olivia. She’s one of my favorite Babes at the Beach, and her stories are so smokin’ hot! (fanning my face) My story The Heartbeat Journal is a smidge tamer, but sexy and exciting just the same. Everly Afton is a romance novelist who has been hurt by so much loss, she finds it hard to believe that there’s such a thing as a real-life happy ending. She writes them, but old ghosts–literally–keep her from moving forward with her life. She finally unloads the cheating boyfriend even though the sex is mind-blowing. The heartbreak is so not worth it.
Enter Ben. He’s hot, mysterious, and oh so gorgeous. Everly’s favorite thing to do on Saturday is to go to the garden center and shop for flowers for her garden. They bump into each other near the cactus display and immediately she senses a connection–a blinding attraction snatches her back by the collar. He’s special. He’s got secrets of his own. And old ghosts haunt him too.
She being stalked by someone–sick emails come through on her author blog, knocks come at the door but nobody’s there. Do real heroes exist or will this adventure end badly like all the rest? This story takes unexpected turns that might make you want to hold on to something steady.
The Heartbeat Journal is available for your Kindle and Nook and is only $3.99! All five star reviews. I’ll be back later with more to tantalize your romance taste buds. See you soon!
