It takes a great deal of effort for Ginger Martin to meet each day. If not for her three children, it would be so easy to give into her grief and see Jesse once again.
Whatever is pulling Samuel Annanais to this place is something he is helpless to fight. He feels strange in this place and time, but until he understands his presence here, he will never get to be with Juliette.
No matter how hard Ginger works, times are tough, and Jesse’s grandmother Osbee is considering selling the farm. She seriously needs help, although she is no-where near ready to accept Samuel, or what he is suggesting. The plans she and Jesse had are no longer feasible. But is she brave enough or maybe desperate enough to accept Samuel’s help?
With a loss like Ginger and her children suffer when losing Jesse, it is easy to see how they must feel like they are drowning. It does not seem to matter how hard times get though, because Ginger refuses to give up. She may be weary, terrified, and thoroughly grief stricken, but she is a mother, and nothing else matters but the welfare of her children. I love that Samuel helps her understand and tap into the strength that she already owns, and gently steers her in the direction she needs to go.
