I’m so sorry to be so late to the party! It’s been a nightmare day and I ended up having to visit the hospital. So, I have some catching up to do!
One week into the new year a lot of people are still talking about resolutions and such, and I decided late in December that this year I’d avoid the disappointment of not following though on things, so I decided to set myself goals. So, 2013 has a schedule and while I know I’m not likely to keep to it in an exact manner, it helps to have a plan laid out. Do any of you do it this way? Or do you make resolutions? How do you feel when you keep them, or don’t keep them?
For me, the most important part of this new goal system is for the work that will be (hopefully) produced this year. I’ve set myself a goal of three completed novels, and several novellas. As many people have come to expect from me, they’ll be a diverse mix of styles and genres. I’m pretty excited about my next Ellora’s Cave projects, there are two of them on the schedule at the moment, one is a duet with Cindy Jacks called Backstage Passes, we’re writing linked stories about musicians, since they’re always so much fun! My hero is based on actor Ryan Gosling!
Novels are going to be a new fantasy, featuring rather unusual heroes. I have a very complex and compelling vampire novel plotted, as well as my first young adult book. There will be romance in them all of course!
