Hi All,
Thank you, Bonnie, for a warm welcome to Coffee Time and a lovely introduction. This is my first time blogging on Coffee Time although Liadan Brodie interviewed me and reviewed my debut book, THE DOWRY BRIDE, with a generous 5 Cup rating last September.
Being born and raised in India, my writing has a different slant. Both my books, THE DOWRY BRIDE (Sept 2007) and the latest release, THE FORBIDDEN DAUGHTER, have characters that live in a small town in India and are surrounded by conservative families and old-fashioned values. But love and hope and resilience of the human spirit are universal, and I have portrayed those very human characteristics in my books. I incorporate lots of cultural elements into my books, including food, flora, colors, and textures, so I can inform, educate and entertain my readers.
A nice review of THE FORBIDDEN DAUGHTER is posted in Coffee Time’s review section under Fiction.
I will be giving away an autographed copy of THE FORBIDDEN DAUGHTER at the end of the day tomorrow to one winner amongst the bloggers who stop by and join Bonnie and me. So please stop by anytime today or tomorrow and give us your comments and questions. And don’t forget to leave your email so I know how to contact you if you’re the winner.
Enjoy that hot cup of latte and join in!
