For those that don’t know me, my name is Amanda Kimberley. I’ve been writing in various genres for a little over three decades and reside in Connecticut with my family and growing zoo of pets. I started out my indie career as a nonfiction writer on the disease fibromyalgia. It has only been in the recent past five years that I’ve made the paranormal fiction plunge. I have recently released two new stories this holiday season, one of which I will discuss here today.
Forever Tied is a story within a story from a series I’ve been working on. I started this series with the voice of Raine some two decades ago and that voice has developed into the novel Forever Friends, the novella Forever Tied, and two more WIPs, one of which, called Forever Bound, will be released early next year.
Raine is quite an interesting character as the Rom Borro of the Kersh Gypsy Witch Clan. He can perform some pretty cool spells, but his most exceptional gift is possessing the ability to read the minds of people he is connected to. He is especially connected to a gal he calls his forever love name Skye. I’ve really enjoyed developing this particular talent of his, especially when it comes to his romantic side in the bedroom. 😉
This novella came about because I wanted to give Skye a bit of a mystery. I thought she was getting a little flat as a character and I wanted to give her something more so Raine could still keep interest in her. Perhaps it’s just me, but I thought there needed to be some more spice with the two of them after being together for a dozen or so lifetimes.
The mystery is that Skye is a clairvoyant and has a vision of Raine’s death. She is told by a Goddess that she must keep this vision from him and part of the story reflects how she feels the moment she realizes that she needs to lie to him for the first time ever in their lives together.
This novella is part of an anthology that was just recently released called Santa’s Naughty List 25 Tales of Paranormal Bad Boys Christmas. There are 25 stories in this collection from 25 amazing authors and each one of them has a Christmas theme. The eBook is available on Amazon. All proceeds of the sale of this book during the holiday will be donated to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
I hope you have enjoyed my explanation of two of the main characters in my story Forever Tied. I never get tired of discussing them!
**********
Excerpt:
Skye tried to hold back the tears, but they escaped the corners of her eyes and slid down her cheeks.
Raine caught a few with his thumbs as he cupped her cheeks and pulled her close. Their foreheads met as he whispered, “It will be all okay, somehow.”
“You don’t sound all that convincing.” Skye said in a faint whisper as her eyes drew away from his.
“I can’t lose you, sweetness. You are my forever. You always were and you always will be throughout time.” Raine said to her as he drew her lips to his.
He kissed her softly and then buried his head upon her chest. “Promise me something?” he said in an almost inaudible tone. “Please don’t ever leave me. I don’t think I could handle a life without you.”

9 years ago AUTHORThanks flchen1! St. Jude’s has always been a family charity we have done because my Grandma loved St. Jude’s. She recently passed away and this donation makes me feel closer to her this holiday season.
