Elizabeth Lancaster loves her life in Pasadena, California. She teaches Shakespeare at a community college, lives in a hacienda style home left to her by her grandmother, and tries to avoid life plan advice from her overachieving family. Why is it so difficult for them to understand that she is happy with things just the way they are?

As summer approaches, her ex-husband contacts Elizabeth with an intriguing offer. Accompany him to the Oregon Shakespeare festival to work as a consultant on a production starring him. Not only will the job give Elizabeth the much-needed capital to renovate her hacienda, she will have a chance to prove to herself and to everybody that she is over FX Fahey once and for all.

Things on the scene in Oregon are not exactly as Elizabeth had expected. She realizes that Shakespeare has more than a few things to teach a modern girl. Before the curtain closes she discovers more about life, love, and the nature of happiness than she ever thought possible.

There is nothing better than a strong female character that debunks every known stereotype to forge her own way to a fairytale ending. This book is for every reader who has ever felt like they just cannot fit into the mold that everyone else can. This is a great story with plenty of laughs and maybe a few tears.
