I love cars and can work on them some. I was always the go-fer for my dad and later my hubby. My current special friend also works on cars a lot. My family was always Ford folks although we had a couple of Jeeps way back when but I learned to drive in an F-150 pickup and then a big ole flatbed we used to haul hay. (We had a ranch and raised horses and mules). My own first car was a Ford Pinto–the first year they were on the street. I loved that little car and enjoyed it for about 120K miles.
For about a year in 2004-5 I had a 1966 T-Bird that I really wanted to restore and drive to my high school reunion but life got in the way and I knew I could not afford all the work to do it the way I wanted so I sold it to a collector in Tucson–made me sad but it was the only thing to do. He soon had it running and was working on the body and interior so it was appreciated anyway.
I'm not sure where the idea for this story really came from but I had visited a auto parts recycler with my friend and that was one inspiratin. Then after T-Birds I did like Mustangs…. So Muscle Car Man was born. I have meant to go back and do a sequel but so far have not had the kick to do it. Maybe some day. Anyway, next post will be the particulars and an excerpt.
