Bette McNicholas likes to write fiction. Romantic Times Magazine has said that her novel, ‘An Obsession with Honor,’ was the kind of love story that one would want to read again and again. Bette is an active member of Romance Writers of America, its Published Author Network, PASIC, and currently the PAN Liaison for Desert Rose RWA. Bette is a very busy lady but finds time to create some wonderful stories. I really adored Memory’s Edge. The romance of Victoria and Luke is brilliantly told and believe me, truly, unforgettable. I look forward to more of Ms. McNicholas uplifting stories.
Memory’s Edge is a poignant story that takes one directly into the action of the war. One can practically visualize the compelling events, along with the stench that comes along with the bloodshed of so many people. The characters are endearing. I love the way the relationship blossoms between Victoria and Luke. It is really beautiful, especially amidst so much heartbreak. The things Luke expressed to Victoria brought tears to my eyes; he is such a gentleman. Bette McNicholas has created an intelligent read, well-researched and most heartwarming. She allows the reader to even feel the hatred brewing among the soldiers as well as the effects of the Underground Railroad in this extraordinary journey.
