St. Nicked by Damon SuedeSt. Nicked: There`s no gift like the present.
Holidays this fun can’t be legal. When a cat burglar dressed as Santa targets a glitzy Manhattan high-rise, the holidays get unhinged.
As superintendent, Mark Almeida needs to keep the residents safe, and as a former NYPD cop, he knows he can crack the case without any help… until he meets a suave stranger too handsome for his own good who pushes buttons Mark didn’t know he had.
As the holly-jolly crime spree unfolds, Mark wrestles with duty and desire while juggling festive clues, lavish gifts, and stolen kisses in time for a truly crooked Christmas.
St. Nicked, the newest contemporary romance from Damon Suede, combines the tension of a mystery with feel-good romance in a way only Damon can deliver.

Meet the Author
Damon Suede… between soft and rough
Damon Suede grew up out-n-proud deep in the anus of right-wing America, and escaped as soon as it was legal. He has lived all over: Houston, New York, London, Prague. Along the way, he’s earned his crust as a model, a messenger, a promoter, a programmer, a sculptor, a singer, a stripper, a bookkeeper, a bartender, a techie, a teacher, a director... but writing has ever been his bread and butter. He has been happily partnered for over a decade with the most loving, handsome, shrewd, hilarious, noble man to walk this planet.
Addictions: sweetness that isn’t sentimental, wit that isn’t bitter, strength that isn’t cruel. Allergies: professional victims, half-assery, clichés.
Beyond romance fiction, Damon has been writing for print, stage, and screen for over three decades, which is both more and less glamorous than you might imagine. He`s won some awards, but his blessings are more numerous: his amazing friends, his demented family, his beautiful husband, his loyal fans, and his silly, stern, seductive Muse who keeps whispering in his ear, year after year.

15 years ago AUTHORIt’s an illusion. I just found out where the comments go. Nice to see you. Now I’m not talking to myself.
Since so far it’s just you and I, do you want to see an excerpt from Counterpoint? You alread know all about The Phoenix.

15 years agoYou know how to dangle the proverbial carrot don’t you. ; ) I have been chomping at the bit for Counterpoint since I finished The Phoenix. I would anxiously await any treats you may offer.

15 years ago AUTHORShould I be mean and say I changed my mind? lol My life wouldn’t be worth a plugged nickle around here, would it. Counterpoint would be in print from a mainstream publisher now if I hadn’t taken some bad advice! It was supposed to be one of the first two books out from Running Press, but I was persuaded not to sign the contract. Like a fool, I didn’t. I am waiting for a response from another mainstream publisher, but I’m not optimistic. I may just let Lethe Press publish it. They’re small but very nice to work with — which can’t be said of all publishers. OK, I’ll go dig up something from Counterpoint. I’ll be back in a flash.
And say, Megs, I may drop you an email making you an offer you can’t refuse, if it’s about time for your classes to be over for a while.

15 years agoI don’t think I am going to get any work done today… I am sorry to hear about the trouble with publishing. I have a friend working on publishing a Childrens book and it has been hard for her as well. I can’t imagine why this mainstream publisher is dragging their feet… I am confident anything you submit should be immediately published!
And I don’t even have to know what your offer is – I accept.

15 years ago AUTHORPublishing is a weird world. I love Lethe Press, though. They are wonderful folks to work with. And I adored Sasha Alyson, whose Alyson Publications published my first book. But then he sold the company and those who bought it dumped the majority of the books he had done, including not only my book but a YA gay mystery series I was writing for him. That experience left me so miserable I self-published the first edition of The Phoenix. Spent lots and lots of money by blindly doing what I was told, and have made very little. But the beautiful new edition by Lethe is just dandy!
As for the offer re Counterpoint … oh, you’ll like it. Guaranteed. I’ll drop you an email and you can let me know when your classwork is finished.

15 years ago AUTHOROK. Watch for an email later today or tomorrow. After spending all day in here I’m going to have to soothe my grumpy husband after I close down here for the day.
