The Adventure Begins
I’m excited to be starting my blog tour here at Coffee Time Romance. This is going to be a brand new, life altering adventure. I’m having the time of my life digging into the dark legends of the past and writing paranormal romance.
The First Novel
My first novel, The Stormy Love Life of Laura Cordelais, will be coming out this month in print. It’s part of my series, Vampires in Manhattan. In this book, Laura Cordelais, descended from an old New Orleans family, dangles off the Brooklyn Bridge. Her life is disastrous and she can’t see clear another minute. Vampire David Hilliard is tall and handsome with dark eyes that sear your soul. In his over hundred years of living, the only thing he asks God for is to take pity on his loneliness.
You’d think that when these two find each other it would solve all their problems, but no. Laura had issues prior to becoming undead. Now the issues are bigger—from not wanting to sleep in a coffin, to not being quite sure if she loves David, to being coveted by dark forces for a power she didn’t know she had. And David? Well, when he makes a vow of love, he won’t break it—even if it destroys him.
Blurb:
LIGHTNING
Being descended from an ancient race blessed by Zeus doesn’t help Telkhine Laura Cordelais, when she’s desperate and standing between life and death. Her destiny looks bleak. Every choice leads to death, and there is no winning door. Or is there?
THUNDER
Begging God for love, Vampire David Hilliard finds his request answered in the form of the tormented and dying Laura. In saving her, he falls in love and dooms them both to a dark underworld of voodoo and sorcery from which nothing can escape.
THE STORM BEGINS
Curses, Keres, demons, oh, my! And the unicorn’s horn.
If you don’t want to wait until the print edition comes out or prefer e-reading, The Stormy Love Life of Laura Cordelais is available at http://www.allromanceebooks.com/product-thestormylovelifeoflauracordelais-374695-139.html and other fine ebook stores.
Otherwise, stay tuned to http://www.susanhannifordcrowley.com where I will announce the big day.
More in the Series
The Vampires in Manhattan have friends and relatives, so a series just evolved. It’s developed naturally from dreams and over 20 years of researching vampires and obscure mythologies. David is introduced in When Love Survives.
When Love Survives

MAGIC
Regina O’Malley is a college student who’s just discovered she’s magic. Today is the first day of her internship at a prominent brokerage house at the World Trade Center, and she’s late. She doesn’t know disaster is right around the corner.
LOVE
Gregor Vasiliev is a financial advisor at the World Trade Center. This shapeshifter hates the office coffee, and while on a donut run he gazes out the window of his favorite coffee shop. There in the street stands the lifemate he’s been searching for. If he doesn’t act now, he’ll lose her forever.

What’s Next?
I’m writing more in the series. My editor will have another one in her hands next week sometime.  On April 24th, I’ll be at Connecticut Fiction Fest with my workshop “The Author’s Blog.â€Â  I’ll also be in the Tease Publishing LLC room at Authors After Dark on Sept. 16-19.  In between, I’ll be enjoying the weather and my family. This could be a banner year for shell collecting at the beach and writing novels.

14 years agoYour “Manhattan Vamps” sound wonderful! I am quite intrigued by the story details and excerpts! I’d love to win “When Love Survives” to see how David was introduced. I would then read “The Stormy Love Life of Laura Cordelais”! Do you have another series in mind? Wishing you much success in 2010!

14 years agoWishing you the best success with this series — I’m sure it will prove immensely popular. No matter how many times people say the vampire trend can’t keep going on, they find out that the thirst is inexhaustible! I think this is a great new re-imagining. Can’t wait to see what you do with dragons!
