Magical! Mysterious! Creepy and surreal! Who’s hiding behind that mask?
Don’t you just love a masquerade? Whether it’s Mardi Gras, Halloween, New Year’s Eve or a Regency ball from a Gothic era, masquerades have always drawn me in. What fun to portray a Mystery Lady or Gentlemen Caller. Part of the excitement when preparing to go incognito for the evening is the aura of suspense surrounding the costume and the mask.

Good luck! This contest will run for one week.
Yes, Cleopatra is one of my favourite historical characters as well, Sharon. There’s something about a strong woman who could not only rule her people with a rod of iron, but captivate the hearts of two of the most powerful men of that era that is really fascinating. For all her ruthlessness there lurked a passionate woman beneath the surface. And what fun to dress up as her!
Very true, Lyn. And Cleopatra set the pattern for women of her day to follow. I think she would be considered a trend setter of her time.
