The Frantic Woman’s Guide to Feeding Friends and Family is a must have if you plan on eating anytime soon. Ms. Rudnick has put together a must have map to cooking, cleaning, and organizing a home kitchen and a menu plan. This book can teach anyone at any level of cooking experience something. The meals here are simple and tasty.

The set up of this book is awesome. It walks you into the kitchen. It introduces you to a well stocked pantry, fridge and freezer. It then introduces you to two seven day meal plans based on the staples and simple seasonal ingredients. The recipes are simple and easy to understand.

Breaking down the week into 7 broad categories was one of my favorite tips. I am finding that once you get used to thinking in terms of the categories, it is easy to adapt the ideas to other recipes. It is all about knowing what is available and what you can do with it. This book can teach you that.

A lot of cookbooks and cooking shows these days talk about getting dinner on the table quickly. Most of them cover these same steps, but very quickly. If you blink you are probably going to miss it. This book does not do that. It walks you slowly step by step through each and every step of kitchen setup. It is simply put a must read; own it so you can keep referring to it.
