Martini Club 4 – The 1920s
In 2010, myself and three writer friends—Amanda McCabe, Kathy L Wheeler, and Krysta Scott—began meeting each Friday evening for Martinis and various other libations at the Martini Lounge in Edmond, Oklahoma. In time, we came to dub our gatherings the ‘Martini Club.’  During one of these get-togethers, an idea was tossed around to write stories centered around a Martini Lounge-like establishment. The idea blossomed from there, and the ‘Martini Club 4’ series was born.Â
Each of us have written our own, stand-alone novella, but the girls from each are friends, and they interact in one another’s stories. This first series is set in the 1920’s, and the next will be set in the 40’s.Â
My BAFF’s (Best Author Friends Forever) and I had a blast brainstorming and creating the MC4 Vintage Historical Romances over drinks and during a few out of town retreats (over drinks, as well 🙂).Â

9 years agoLoved all four of these books–the way the stories and characters intertwine. And is each a great story on its own. I’ve never been much of a fan of fiction set in that era, but I found myself intrigued by some of the slang and fashions. Great series.

9 years agoI so loved RUINED and I have the others on my Kindle waiting for those lottery numbers to fall right so that I can have the time I deserve to live my life of leisure. I’m fairly certain it states clearly in the International Behaviour Guide for Successful Authors that excessive celebration and flagrant happiness is definitely prohibited (unless, of course, you are Nora Roberts, who can do any damn thing she wants, Sharon Sala, currently in NYC at the RWA Conference doing all of the above, and James Patterson, who it’s questionable that he writes his own books even). So, BAFF, in the future, you better just watch your Qs and Ps. Hmph!
