Butterflies that danced over the flowers in the meadow were now happily fluttering in her tummy. Tingles from where his hands still rested shot through her. Her eyes locked with his and she knew he was going to kiss her. In slow motion his head leaned until his lips softly brushed hers.
She moved to wrap her arms around him and realized she still held her wand and instrument. For the first time she did not handle it with care. She let Gallibo drop to the soft sand. Her hands clasped behind his neck and kept his mouth on hers, for she never wanted the contact to end. His tongue gently traced the outline of her lips.
By the Gods and Goddesses what was he doing to her? She pressed her body closer to him. Her closed eyes shot opened when she felt his desire. She may be innocent in the ways of the wants of men, but she had been around the healing chamber enough to know what lay ridged between them. He had his eyes open watching her closely but not breaking the kiss.
“Uh-hum.”
It took a moment to realize someone was trying to get their attention. She had been up on her toes and felt the break in connection like a physical thing. He kept her close to look over his shoulder, while she peeked around his broad shoulders. There stood a boy holding the bags that she had seen Cuchulain fasten to his great steed before he had left. The lad’s gaze switched from Cuchulain to a horrified glance at Palriad.
Cuchulain sighed. He leaned his forehead against hers. He stood like that for a moment, then took a step away. He held out his hand for the bags the boy held.
“Aibell Brid de Danann this is Kendell. Apparently, he is my page.”
