A noise behind his shoulders made him scramble to his feet and spin around as the door opened and Chris entered, shut it, then leaned on it, an indefinable expression in those amazing blue-gray eyes of his, a mix between defiance and dare.
Fury, jealousy, arousal, and the gods only knew what else coalesced in a painful knot deep in his balls that threatened to explode right there and then, Duncan took a step forward. He wanted to shout, to slap the arrogant face, to punch out the challenging look, to grab and shake him until…the prince was not sure what should happen, but tension inside was eating him alive, so with one leap he was on the blond beauty. “Had fun?”
“Absolutely.”
“Then why didn’t you stay with him?”
At Chris’s hesitation, Duncan knew he was bluffing, probably had the whole time in Belleview.
“I wanted to see how you’d take it,” the angel breathed huskily.
“You bastard!” Duncan’s hand, as if with a will of its own, went around Chris’s throat, and the impulse to squeeze was almost irresistible.
Oddly, Chris did not twitch or move away. Rather, he submitted to Prince Caldwell’s touch like it were sheer pleasure, his body begging for more, arching to meet Duncan’s powerful frame pinning it to the door. It was the perfect moment to attack his mouth, so Prince Caldwell did. As his senses filled with Chris’s intoxicating taste, his tongue darted hesitantly to open the closed lips.
Which Chris promptly opened.
The resulting sweep made the prince bolder. With repeated strokes, he occupied the entire space, at the same time pressing a hand on Chris’s growing bulge. And since his angel yielded to him without questions, crushing his hungry body against Duncan’s, the prince took it all. And it was the beginning of everything.

The Pledge (Virtus Saga Book 5) by Laura Tolomei
When Ylianor Caldwell collapses in front of Leader Duncan Caldwell while he’s asking her the ritual question that will tie her to Lord Christopher Templeton forever, she knows her pledge did not go through. That Virtus has taken great pains to break her promise to the insufferable demon is obvious, but maybe it’s not as bad as it seems. Truth is–her heart is torn. Half is for her dark- haired prince, her master of pleasure. Half is for the blond-haired demon, her master of pain. So how to choose between them? And more importantly, how to tell them that her heart and mind are set on getting of both them and that she deserves them after all they put her through?
Such is the new setting of the Virtus Saga, where nothing is as it seems. Not the world, since its all-pervading sex drive hides a scary lack of violence. Not the people, since soul mates Prince Duncan Caldwell and Lord Christopher Templeton share a love that is unrivaled until that fateful knock on Ylianor Meyer’s dilapidated shack alone!
This book picks up right where The Leader, Book 4, leaves off and heightens the romance and the ménage that conjure the past and the separation. It’s a unique connection, laced with jealousy and violence that are unknown to their world. This is not just another erotic dark fantasy series. This is the making of a trio. Of three remarkable characters that must overcome their uncontrollable lust to face the truth about themselves and their planet if they want to defeat the darkness about to devour them. To be as one whilst three! To share power and love in equal measures. This is their real challenge, the lesson they must learn. Otherwise, how will their world survive?
IMPORTANT: Given the saga nature of this ongoing fantasy series, it is advisable to read each book in sequence.
