Since we’re talking witches this time around I thought I’d write about Annette Blair. The first book of hers that I ever found was the Kitchen Witch. It’s about Melody Seabright that wants to be the host of the new cooking show that the local TV station has, but she can’t cook. Her next door neighbor Logan is a producer at the station and after babysitting his son for him as a favor, she wants his help in getting the show. Things get really interesting when they start working together and a lot more than magic happens in the kitchen. I was very happy to find out that this was the first book in a trilogy and the bookstore had the second two books in stock. I immediately went out and bought them. The second book My Favorite Witch was just as funny and spunky as the first. This one is about Melody’s friend Kira Fitzgerald, the Coordinator of Special Events at The Pickering Foundation and a white witch who’s given up on men after finding her jock boyfriend in bed with her sister. Then she meets her new boss Jason, a former NHL star who’s also given up on women to concentrate on getting his knee healed so he can get back on the ice. Oh, and did I mention he was voted best kisser in America? Once these two start working together more than the events themselves come together. The third book is called The Scot, the Witch and the Wardrobe and it’s about Victoria Cartwright, who is in denial about her witchy abilities. She inherits a magical legacy in the form of a key that unlocks a wardrobe her late grandmother owned. Inside the wardrobe is a carousel unicorn that catches the eye of Rory MacKenzie who’s ancestor carved it and may be the key to his family’s curse. As these two interact with each other more than just their tempers heat up.
I was very happy to find out that she had another witchy trilogy that is all about the triplet half-sisters of Victoria Cartwright from The Scot, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Each book in this trilogy is about each triplet. The books in order are Sex and the Psychic Witch which is about Harmony Cartwright, Gone with the Witch which is about Storm Cartwright and Never Been Witched which is about Destiny Cartwright. Even though I didn’t give a little blurb about this trilogy, I can tell you that they are just as good as her other trilogy.
Ms. Blair is an author I keep coming back to over and over again and I’m excited to say that she’s got a new series coming out that is set in the same place as her two trilogies. The first book is called Naked Dragon and it will be released in January 2010. She also has another series out now that’s called the Vintage Magic Mysteries and as the title implies they are mysteries. There are two books out in that series at the moment and while I haven’t read them yet, they are on my to be read list.
Please feel free to check out her site for all her books at http://www.annetteblair.com/index.html.

15 years agoHave you been raiding my bookshelf again? LOL This is one of my favorite series. The triplets crack me up time and time again. I still have the last triplet’s story sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!

15 years ago AUTHORI had no clue that these books were on your shelf, but I can tell you that they are proudly displayed on mine! You need to get a move on and read Destiny’s book. I thought it was awesome.
Oh, I know that I mentioned that she has a new series coming out in January 2010 and that it’s set in the same place as her first two trilogies, but she mentioned that we’ll see some of the characters from those books as well and I believe that one of the books is going to feature Harmony’s (Sex and the Psychic Witch) step-daughter. I can’t wait for January!

15 years agoIt’s on my list, but between reviewing (which takes a lot of my time), the dogs, the husband and life in general, my “to be read” list and “to be bought” list is out of control! LOL
I know what I am going to do… I am going to run away with just my books for about a month. Then, maybe I can get my personal reading caught up on!
