Hello Everyone!
I’m so glad to meet you! One of the things I’ve always loved to do, besides steal comedy routines from old British television shows like Monty Python, is to create really unique fiction. I love mixing genre’s, spinning tales of romance that touch on different aspects of my favorite stories and then blending them together for what I hope to be a new and exciting read.
A native of east central Illinois and now an official Florida transplant for the past 27 years, I’ve been writing professionally for about 13 years. I’m a huge fan of historical, paranormal, futuristic and fantasy romances. These days my favorite thing to do is combine two or more fantastic elements, like paranormal and historical, or futuristic fantasy and post apocalyptic futuristic, or even erotica and historical.
I started out writing straight historicals for Wings ePress: Strong Arms To Hold me, The Mad Earl, and The Hanging Bride. Then, I got really crazy and published two books that combine history and paranormal with Zebra Historicals, titled: Spirited Away and If You Could Read My Mind. Next, I stretched my writing legs combining really sensual tales with the old west, publishing with Cobblestone Press my Cowboy-erotica series, Ride A Cowboy. I’m up to book four, Roped And Tied, which will be coming out soon.
But, I’m not finished mixing and matching my romance genre’s yet. My latest release is a full length novel, Always And Forever, which is a Regency England to 1245 Scotland time travel romance. You can find it at: www.resplendencepublishing.com. The end of this month it will be available in print form as well as ebook. Yay!
Here is a short blurb from Always And Forever:
In 1811, England, terribly wounded after a duel protecting his younger sister’s honor, Robert Houghton, the earl of Singleton’s body is broken and useless. He faces a miserable existence as the shadow of the man he once was, until a cantankerous ghost appears and kidnaps him and transports him back through time to 1245 Scotland. In order to be healed and made whole again, as well as return to his own time, he must rescue a Scottish laird’s daughter from an arranged marriage to an evil and murderous clan chieftain
But the red haired Fury, Jenna MacReynolds is more than he bargained for and has plans to vanquish her enemies and claim leadership of her own clan. In their struggles to survive the castle intrigues and certain death at the hands of their enemies, the two build a love that is enduring, one that vanquishes the evil that faces them and transcends even time itself…

16 years agoI love a good mystery. That’s “Mystery” as opposed to “Suspense”. Two sub-genres, but very different. And if in solving a case, the hero and heroine just happen to fall in love … well, that’s what I love.

16 years ago“Always and Forever” sounds interesting. I enjoy time travels and admire anyone who can write them. I like to mix “medieval romance” with “Fantasy.” Yes, I know all, all romance could be considered fantasy 🙂 , so I guess I should say “paranormal” (i.e. dragons, magic, etc.)

Thanks, too, Michelle! I had a blast writing that book. I’ve loved fantasy stories since high school. Romance only makes it better.
Thanks lots, Catherine. You’re the sweetest!

16 years agoHi Pam.
I can’t agree with you more. Mixing genre’s has made my most recent book come alive for me. In my soon to be released, Dead or a Lie, I had a chance to mix paranormal with mystery and it was so much fun to write. “Always and Forever’ sounds like a fun mix and I look forward to readfing it.
Good luck with your future “mixes”.

16 years agoHi Pam,
Well, you can guess my favorite! I can’t wait to read Always and Forever. It’s a great premise and sounds like you’ve written a lot of humor into the tale Ummm, and there’s something very intriguing about a handsome guy being under her care. Makes my immagination run riot!
Keep up those cowboy stories, too. Sure gives a reader’s heartbeat a boost!
