Julie loves her job at a steakhouse. She loves her life and where she lives. She also believes that she can help make a difference to others who are down on their luck. She helps by cooking and helping find edible food that is otherwise discarded by businesses .

Mark and Chris are co-workers and they work well enough together as long as they just do their jobs. Julie feels that Mark snubs and dismisses her, probably because she has not jumped on his dating bandwagon. But Mark thinks she just might be stealing, or worse, so he needs to investigate.

Both Julie and Mark seem to see change within the other and soon find that they have more in common than they thought, and once assumed the worst about each other. So with renewed faith and new friendships formed, they can set out to make a difference in a community that needs a helping hand with its hunger issues.

I enjoyed Julie and Mark’s story, although I was a bit confused with some of the terminology used through the story and had to consult a dictionary. But other than that it brought a serious issue of hunger to the forefront as well as how we all can judge people before we see the whole picture. Another great read in this series.
