Rhiannon Godfrey has spent most of her life studying at the paranormal institute. Now she lives in the small town of Crystal Lake and has made some friends, including a boyfriend, who unfortunately comes with an evil twin sister. Her new life is still difficult but she can email her friends, Matthew and Tanya, and visit the institute whenever she wants.
After the death of his parents, Matthew Campbell was raised at the institute. Now he has decided he wants to leave and, with some encouragement from an on line friend, he runs away. He arrives in Crystal Lake with the hope that the Godfrey family will allow him to live with them.
Soon after Matthew starts living with Rhiannon’s family, he starts to suffer from severe headaches and nightmares. Matthew starts to blame himself for the death of his parents after he discovers the story of how they died. But Rhiannon is somehow linking to Matthew’s nightmares and memories, and she knows someone else was in that room when it was on fire.
Rhiannon is a vibrant and exciting young woman with some amazing abilities. Although she has some insecurities, her life is balanced by the unconditional love of her parents. Having never known a love like that, Matthew misses his family. Both Matthew and Rhiannon want a normal life but between the magic they are learning to control and being teenagers, trouble is never far away. This is the second book in the Rhiannon Godfrey series. I hope Ms Hall continues the adventures of this sassy teenage witch.
