Once she and her brother reach the training house, Nik helps her heal her brother who has been touched by a Shadow. Then Nik is assigned to teach her to control her gift, love blossoms. But, will the secret Nik holds tear them apart or bring them closer together?
I was not sure about this book at first, but once I started reading it I was hooked. Ms. Howson writes a marvelous tale that will have the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page. Her world building is unique and her characters are well thought out and developed. I felt for Nik and the pain he had been through and what Fern had been through as well. The spellbinding talents she gives her characters will have the reader amazed. Ms. Howson brings a fresh voice to the Young Adult genre that will please even adults.
