This attraction Axel Rye has for a mundane is asking for trouble. The laws against it are quite clear, yet Axel cannot seem to help himself.

Seeing the magician coming around more and more often, Nick is fairly certain he knows why. At least he hopes so.

Being hunted down by a very powerful magician has Axel more worried about Nick’s safety than his own. Wilhelm is dangerous, and at first Axel is clueless as to why he is being targeted. When he does figure it out, he knows that he and Nick are in serious trouble. Axel got Nick into this mess which means he needs to find a way to get him out, even if it ruins any chance to be together.

Without even realizing it, Axel falls deeply for a man he barely knows. There is something about Nick that draws him in, even though he knows it can only lead to trouble. Amazingly, Nick is far more accepting of Axel’s unique abilities than one would expect, especially with the danger he is suddenly thrust into. As the threat escalates so do their feelings, and it makes for a very lively and interesting read.
