With little money and even less time, Chris Valentine is finding it very difficult to feed his passion for writing. His work so far is getting good reviews, but it is going to take much more dedication if he wants to get his new series started.
Born with a silver spoon in his mouth does not mean Jesse Donovan is averse to hard work. The empire his family has built for generations is under his care, and he loves every challenge it brings him.
Chris does not know if he is more horrified or intrigued by Jesse’s proposition. Getting married is the last thing Chris ever wants to do, yet Jesse drives a hard bargain. Jesse can see a future with Chris, although it is going to take a miracle to make Chris see it. Chris and Jesse’s relationship may be new and fragile, but are they strong enough to weather the storm building between them?
Being upfront and honest is great in theory, until fear and pride get in the way of a relationship built on already shaky ground. Neither of these men is good at expressing themselves which, seriously, must be part of the male genetic code! It is Jesse’s step-grandmother, who I feel is the key to making this story work. This author really gets the way men act, and more importantly, how good they are at avoiding anything that makes them feel too much.
